Halloween gone wrong?
While my parents’ candy corn shirts in the last post were a hit, sometimes you come up with a Halloween costume that is, well, a miss. I’m not sure if I requested to be a cabbage patch kid (or just a cabbage?), but my sister definitely requested to be Cheer Bear, the rainbow care bear. (I’m not knockin’ the costumes, mom!) She remembers it as being quite hot in there, and I have made sure to make fun of her nearly every year for her “big carebear head.” I still laugh outloud every time I see these pictures, her little face engulfed in a giant pink blob. I swear, every year we chose costumes that were head to toe, or made of fur, it was 75 degrees. And when I was a skin-showing genie, it was freeeeezing.

HAHAHA - it looks like Cheer Bear is eating your sister’s face. Great picture/post.

Oh this is great! I’m not sure which is best. The just-a-cabbage or the giant head. How can one so young be expected to balance a head so large.

This almost makes me want to have kids, so I can stick them in costumes like this and then I can point and laugh. (I’d be real good at building my kid’s self esteem.)
