My brother and I always buy them for my mom and pre-stale them for her. I always get the traditional chicks, but my bubba goes way out on that trend-setting limb and gets the bunnies. Then you must poke holes in the plastic with a fork and wait. And wait. Depending on how far away your parental units live, you mail them so that they'll arrive with a nice crunchy crust. Mom loves 'em that way--I'll pass on them, fresh or stale--give me the malted milk robin's eggs! Oooh, Peeps! My brother and I always buy them for my mom and pre-stale them for her.
